Ok, this weekend I went shopping for new pedals that will screw in over my old ones (and of course the ones I wanted were out of stock), specifically for the gas pedal with added width to allow easier heal and toe downshifts.  Well it was the first time I really looked closely at the gas pedal before and reaized that the pedal is hinged onto the lever arm that holds it.  So if you remove the pedal there is nothing to screw onto, unlike the brake and clutch where you still have a metal arm after removing the cover.

So the question is, for those of you with screw on pedals, how did you mount the gas pedal?

Bah, I got screw on pedals but decided not to use them. &nbsp;I'm going to get different ones later. &nbsp;I might decide to weld them on..but we'll see. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

They should have come with brackets so you can mount them over your existing pedel which is most people do.

All three pedals are just metal plates with rubber covers over them. Just rip off the rubber cover and you can drill holes through them to mount your new pedals. Here's (http://www.steamymirror.com/dsc240sx/images/pedals/sparcopedal2.jpg) a picture of my sparco pedals. &nbsp;Took me about 30 minuets to install using a messed up drill.

That type of pedal is for looks only and doesn't have any place in a 240sx. Real replacement pedals need to be bolted or welded on.

DSC, your pedals look crooked. Is the gas pedal not lined up correctly or is it just a funny camera angle?

Both. The gas pedal has to be crooked for it to fit right. The metal plate was weded on a metal rod from the factory and it is angled like that. I messed up the brake pedal so it is a bit crooked. You can see the pedals angle a little better HERE (http://www.steamymirror.com/dsc240sx/images/pedals/sparcopedal1.jpg) as well as little metal shards all over the floor. &nbsp;BTW, in that pic the depth perception is a bit off, the brake pedal isn't any closer to the driver than the other pedals, it just sits higher up towards the dash.
