We have had countless inquiries regarding Kei Office coilovers and though we are always happy to answer any questions by email or over the phone, we thought it would be helpful to put together a list of FAQs for customers on our site.

They appear under the Specifications box on our home page or you can access it here:

Kei Office FAQs (http://www.driftfactory.com/keifaq.php)

If you have a question not answered by our FAQs feel free to call and we may add your question to the list

good commerical post! woot.

AHahahah everything driftfactory posts is a commercial post to get people on their site. I don't care if they bought rights to advertising. What was their last post? It was something to the point of, "hey, look at the rims we got. They're just sitting on the ground and not on the car, but yeah it was worth posting just to get people on our site."

Driftspeed mentioned the lowest line of Kei's coilovers were outsourced to Taiwan.

The lower level of Kei Office coils are are now the TEs, produced in Japan. We got this information directly from Kei Office. It is possible that the older TDIIs were made there but I have not asked Kei Office about this.

Sorry but the S13 and S14 Coils are sold out right now. We are expecting a new shipment before long. I'll let you know when we get something more concrete on the ETA.

is the XT the new XR?

driftfactory

The line has changed a bit so there is not really a direct replacment for the XR. The XR fell closer in line to the GX though. The XT is quite a bit better.

Driftfactory. You should post some information about chassis. I remember you saying that the president of Kei office was at your shop giving you guys pointers about stiffening.

Sorry, didn't see your question. Yes we sell them.

We get the coilovers directly from Kei Office. We are the largest distributor of Kei Office in the US.

As for prices, these are set by Kei Office in Japan.

Driftfactory. You should post some information about chassis. I remember you saying that the president of Kei office was at your shop giving you guys pointers about stiffening.

With any car you really need to look at your own vehicle and try to uncover the points where your specific vehicle is weak. We have an S13 hatch and our car has proven to be weak from the A pillar forward and across the rear subsection. We were advised that stitch welding would go a long way to help the suspension work to the best of its' potential. In addition we added the Nagisa gachirii supports to further stiffen the area in front of the A pillar. Another thing that we were advised to do was to concentrate on the area between the strut towers as anything before or after this region does much less to help the rigidity of the chassis.

So your saying that the fender braces and the strut bars are the best ways to stiffen the chassis up? Just trying to see what you guys are saying. I have heard that the car is weak as far as the chassis is concerned and I want to try tune that out as best I can. Thanks.

not about their coilovers... but can you get kei office aero? let me know

driftfactory
08-11-2005, 06:25 PM
We are not importing the aero parts at this time. Reason being that they are limited production and they would have to be shipped from Japan. By the time one of these bumpers gets state side the price has almost doubled.
