never been to an autocross track...but aren't they officially licensed and/or authorized to hold such type events???

yah. they're basically renting property that's partially closed off for a day. kinda like if I owned my own stadium, the parking lot is my property, and if i sectioned off a part and rented it out for an autocross, i could <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> &nbsp;or i could close it all off an put no trespassing signs up and do drag racing and burnouts and cops couldn't do anything about it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Yup, cops have no jurisdiction as far as traffic violations on private properties goes (except sound pollution, which affects people outside the area).

Well, all the auto-xing I will be doing this summer is either at a race track parking lot (odd) or military air strips that are no longer used. I just thought it was an interesting read. There is no doubt in my mind that F&F (by creating a new gen of street racers) played atleast some part in this new bill...or amendment to the bill whichever it was.

ah crap...first they start shooting f&f here and now this shit...bastards...no mercy btw thats for government owned property... in private property you can do whatever the f*** you want.
