What is the deal with the e-brake for this conversion? Will I need to buy additional parts if I just get the calipers and rotors all the way around or will the stock s13 e-brake cables work?
Thanks

hey Dousan, how's it goin? Ever get that zenki fixed up? Man I should have went for a ride with you. Never seen how fast a blacktop can go. "sigh" oh well. Take care man.

Yeah search man, this has been covered...alot!!

But just cause i'm feeling generous here's your list.

rear parts:
5-lug hubs from a 95-98 240 SE or 90-96 300zx
e-brake setup (drums with cables attached) from a 90-96 300zx
rotors & pads for a 90-96 300zx
calipers from a 90-96 300zx
Get SPL SS brake conversion lines for 300zx brakes on a 240sx. Here's the link http://www.splparts.com/
1" or 17/16" brake MC from a 90-96 300zx

If you go with your stock 4-lug hubs you will have to drill the rotors to 4-lug. Trust me this is a PITA. Just get the 5-lug conversion and some OEM SE rims and your set.

That's it, hope this helps.

Cool. Post up some pics. Love to see the progress. And yeah the Skyline/300z brakes are the shizzle. I love the brake feel compared to stock on my s13.

I think with my s13 I'm gonna go with SS brake lines and a 17/16" MC and leave the stock brakes on there. Just want to improve the pedal feel and not have to do all the swap sourcing and work.

Good luck with the SR Dousan...if you can post some dyno results if you get any.

Later.

Uhh, i thought you had a S14? I forget your name, but I bought those S14 Abs Spindles from you, you really don't want to do that.

I think the braking is going to be twicthy as hell. When I had the Z32 front and stock rear with that MC, the rear locked up at a drop of a hat. Got stupidly scary coming to hot into a corner at like 60 and trying to down shift(no clucth kick) and brake, have the rear end come out. I killed to many tires that way, and I grip!

Anyway dude, best of luck either way.

Oh yeah, hey what's up. My name's Tim. As far as the brake feel. I thought about the pedal being too touchy. Wouldn't be a problem for me but my girl drive's the car too and she might have a problem. Maybe I'll go with a 15/16" off a s14 auto. Have my old one left over from my brake upgrade. Maybe I'll use that. That should be an improvment but not too bad. Thanks for the tip.
