Im looking at the Sparco Roadster, and the Sparco Torino. Does anyone know which one holds you better? Which one is more comfortable? Any help would be cool.

keep in mind ur lookin at two totally different seats....?? the Roadster is a rigid seat, while the Torino is a recliner <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/satisfied.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':satisfied:'> . Rigid seats are usually deeper with higher sides, thus hold you in better, but u sacrifice the adjustability of a recliner. and vice-versa <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
here's Sparco's measurement chart.......

hope that helps <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

i have never sat in a roadster, but the torino is the nicest seat i have sat in short of recaro buckets. if i could afford them, they would be my first choice (short of rediculous recaros).

Which recaro's. there site sucks and nobody seems to sell them, I want a seat and the torino is the front runner, I like the blitz gt3 too, but it is even more money (750) so I will still keep in the lookout.

I was sort of leaning towards the roadster because its like 150 cheaper. Does anyone know if its good though? I am looking for a more performance oriented seat though. Thanks,
Mike

in your experiences with aftermkt seats, do they generally decrease head room? any guy 6' and over will tell you driving an S14 ain't a comfortable experience, especially under serious driving, ESPECIALLY over bumpy roads. anyhoo, I've heard that Bride seats actually increase headroom, do sparco's, recaro, corbeu, cobra or other seats do the same?

I'm 6' tall...I drive an S14...I don't know wtf your talking about when you say it's uncomfortable! Anywho, I would imagine that most aftermarket seats would lower you just a bit (brings you closer to the pedals and more level w/ the steering wheel).

Ive heard that Recaro and Bride seats have absolutely no competition from any other seat. My recomendation is to try searching for one of those...maybe ebay?

well, if you learn to communicate in less draconian manner... I was referring to heel-toeing and your knee gets caught on the dashboard. are you driving in a proper 90 degree seating positing where, your elbows and back is at a 90 degree?
I think this was an issue on the NICO board a few months ago... other guys over 6' had the same comments as I. well, I'm 6'2" to be more accurate. are you sure you're 6' in real life and not just on the internet like many insecure people? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

What the hell is a 90 degree seating position? If I'm visualizing it right, you'd be forearm length from the steering wheel. And since we all know that an airbag is gonna come out and break your ribs if you're that close, most people with airbags dont sit that damn close. You can't hold your arms at 3 'o clock and 9 'o clock anymore, either. Stop reading the same driving books that my grandma learned from.
I'm 5'9". Ask me if I'm insecure! I still sit far back, and a little leaned back and have no problems. My 6'1" friend in the pass side complained, till I told him to recline it. Then he never complained again.
Now... for you. Throwing insults around, calling others insecure, granny driving and bitching in general.
I have a suggestion for that headroom. RECLINE THE SEAT! Or would that break the stick up your ass?

Heh heh heh...couldn't have said it better myself! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
No, I am 6' tall...if you like I could ask my neighbor for their digi again, and then break out the tape measurer to prove it. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sigh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> Bah...calling me insecure. http://www.romancereaderatheart.com/bb/emot/huh.gif

i know what you're saying... i'm 6' and i have to recline the seat back two notches and im good.
and i cant heel-toe because there isnt enough room between the steering wheel/dashboard/center console
PS. dont go around name calling, nobody likes it and it makes you look like a jackass
