i did a research on Recaro SRD seats on Bride Seat Rails.... everyone on this board was saying that they dont fit, need modification, etc...

Finally, i got a set myself. AND THEY DO FIT!!!!!
all u have to do is to play around with the seat rail, and it's a direct fit in. It fits 100% without modification.

here is the pic of RECARO SRD, and the Bride Type MO rail:

First Step:
when u get ur seat rail from bride, set it up like the second picture. Mount the bolts thru the middle of the rail to the two plates (NOTE: bolt on only the middle bolts, as shown on the picture 1)

Second:
Flip the seat over, you'll see the threaded holes on the bottom of the seat. You will notice that the distance of the threaded holes are the same distance as the mounting plate. Now just screw on the bolts that on the just the mounting plate side. (as shown on picture 3)

Third:
Now just screw on the bolts thru the rail and the mounting plate. (note: u have to move around the postion in order to get to the hole on the seat) show on pictures 4/5

here is the finish product compare with the stock seat:

this setup seats about the same as the stock height. which i think it's good as far as the bottom mount seat rail. I love this setup, great seats, great rails.

hope this write up help some ppl to clear up their questions...

Well, as far as sitting the same as stock height, you won't really know until you mount it.

Can't really tell from the pictures..

Also, your "Recard SRD" seat looks like a knock-off.

Anyhow, its nice that you proved those nay-sayers wrong.

Happy driving!

the new rails yes they do fit. thats why so many holes in that black plate you attach on top.
the old bride rails dont. i know older style dont because i tried it.
the new ones that big black plate is for both recaro and bride
no disproving anyone its been common knowledge for wel over a year, disccued on freshalloy.com numerous times.

yea. I sold a set of rail with adapter plates here too. Their design makes them sit like an inch lower than the wedge rails.

Nice work, thanks for the info!

Curious how much it cost you to have the seats recovered with suede?
