Recently i was having power steering problems but everything about that seems to be okay, the problem i have now is that when i drive my car and drive a bit quickly a noise is heard either under my car or in the engine bay. It goes dug dug dug dug dug and its like you can feel it under the car. It sounds like somthing is tapping hard againts the frame of the car. And when i drive on the highway at speeds higher then 60 it makes the wheel shake even when going stright. I havent been in any acidents nor have i been hitting or driving over anything dangerous ie. (deep pot holes, curbs, etc...) any clues on what it could be? someone was telling me it could possibly be a bushing pushing up agains my steering column, but im not quite sure about that.. it does really sound like it has something to do with that, feels like its steering related. i can turn fine and its not like there is fluid in my powersteering... a thank you in advance... ohh yeah when driving very low speeds nothing seems to happen but after a while the dug dug dug will happen very very very slowly....

What does it sound like again? jk. Whens the last time you had your tires balanced?

Balance those tires dude! is ur shaking going on between 50 & 60 mph. If so, get your tires rebalanced and that'll solve 1 of your problems. sounds as if you got more than one going on.

Found the root of the problem, my bolts where loose, never touched my bolts.. think someone in my neighbood, thinking the s13 with out the spoke wheels, was trying to take mines but just gave up.. LOL Ohh yeah thanks alot for the help

Going off topic here, but reading about disabling powersteering, if i did that and got the smaller belt would i have to do anything to the power steering lines/pumps/resivour etc... someone was talking about looping the lines so that it stays lubercated.. or can i jsut leav it alone if i got a smaller belt so that the ps pully does nothing???

thanks again in advance..and thanks for my wheel problem :D

If the p/s pully is not moveing then you dont have to wory about it. Im guessing the other guy was talking about leaving the belt and just recirculating the lines at the pump, which is not as good as your plan.
