View Full Version : Good Body Shops in Chicago Suburbs?

I live out in Streamwood, IL. 25 miles from Chicago. I've been going to a shop in Elgin for all my stuff, but they're lazy and don't finish work on time (a reason why my car is half finished BORO style). :nono:
I saw Central Auto Body in Roselle working on some clean cars. Anyone have experience with them or any other shops in the Chicagoland area?
Ideally I'd like to have my car towed over there from my house without the engine, fuel system, or anything. Basically just a rolling chassis. This is because I've found large rust spots on the body underneath the vehicle and even in the engine bay. I want EVERYTHING removed and refinished. :bash:
I've also got some fiberglass panels that need to be worked on.
Let me know if there are any suggestions...

Ive got a guy in Chicago Ridge neer 294 and 95th, he does work out of his garage, one of the only people i trust and he does EXTREEMLY good work at a very decent price, I dont trust shops as far as I could throw them, himself being a tunner knows what its like to, his work is A+
He did a full kit in light pearl gold for me in 3 days working almost 24hours a day on it, and it was PERFECT, I came over after my 2nd job and watched him working till 4-5am in mid winter, hes definaly driven..
If you would like his number email me or IM me and ill give it to you if you would like to go meet him and look at some of his work

QT: all of my guys have gone to Berdys and they fawked me over on pricing. they gettin greedy.
Rez: I am interested in what this guy can do. Would u be able to give me the #? Possibly we can all meet somewhere.
Just as a run down. I want the car stripped down to bare nothing. Basically a complete rust removal/repair on the whole chassis.
Along with this I would like to have some fiberglass molding/repairs done too.
I have the fenders installed, but they're not aligned correctly. So I'd need for all of the panels removed and redone.
Paint wise, I'm looking to have the car completely primered interior and exterior. Afterwards I'd like to have it painted at Body Works w/ some HOK paint.
If your guy is capable of the work let me know...and we can arrange for a meet somewhere. Thanks!

Since we're talking about MY car here I have the right to disagree... just come check out my car and I'll show you your "PERFECT". It's amazing how much crap you notice after you get a chance to wash your car.

Call up TougeFactory I know he knows a body guy, not sure if he does what you need. But I know he has put on aero, prepped, and painted a couple of thier customer cars and does a great job.
