Hello,

I am doin a 5spd swap for a friend in his 93 S13 with KA24DE and he did not supply me with bolts for the pressure plate to bolt it onto the flywheel. If anyone could tell me what size, length and thread type of bolt or tell me where I could find this information it would be very much appreiciated becuase the vehical needs to get outta my shop ASAP so I can work on my own project for once.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Just cut the wires and connect them together. Make sure you soder the connection and heat shirk it so that no water gets in their and it lasts along time. I havnt done this step yet but thats exactly how I am goin to do it but I have alot more wiring to do seeing as how its in a convertable.

Anyone know what bolts I need???? NEED HELP ASAP!!

Thanks,
Joe

Most importantly make sure they're grade 8....the strongest grade, don't get not cheap shit flywheel bolts =) well if they're dealeship you should b ok.

only standard bolts are grade 8, metric uses 10.9 for the highest grade bolts. but yea what he said.

Well I removed the bolts from a pressure plate that was bolted to the motor so I 100% sure their will be no problems but thanks for the help anyways.

After fighting with the auto pilot bushing and breaking 2 drive bits I got the clutch assembly all mounted in the car and got the holes cut in the firewall for the master cylinder, Now its time to install the 5 spd tranny and hook up all the hygrolics then its time to do some wiring, If all goes as planned should have it on the road for the friday night.

Thanks alot for the help guys,
Joe

Its goin good, except i need more parts, I need the throwout bearing assembly thingy, All I have it the bearing and the spring, If anyone has any pics of the assembly and how it goes together and how it attatches to the fork that would help out alot because I am in the dark being that it was an auto before.

Thanks,
Joe

15-22 lb feet as well, I would do 14 though as I just had a rough day with my SR tranny =.(

ummm its kinda simple....there's these two sort of clip things that yu have to turn to disconnect them from the fork and it will slid out...taking out the bearing is the hard part...i jus bang the crap out of mine's and bang the crap out of it even more to put in the new one...but it wen in...ummm make sure yu pull out that copper piece were the tranny shaft goes in...i used a cold chisel and hammer to get mines out..and make sure yu replace that with the pilot bearing....if yu have'nt so...if there's anything else jus lmk...i finished my car yesterday evreything came out good no problems:rawk:
