View Full Version : WTB: Tires: 235/40/18 good tread... and have questions!! help please!! san diego

Im looking for good used tires for fn01r-c 18x9.5 +12...if anyone has any for sale. My preference is 235/40/18. Would it be ok to stretch a 225/40/18 over a 9.5 or is that not wide enough? Would the life of the tire be compromised? Is the tire wall big enough to stretch that far?

you can stretch a 225 over 9.5. Don't know about tire life. I'd assume it wouldn't have much effect.

And I currently have 225/40/18's mounted on 18x9.5" rims. I haven't experienced any premature wear, just maintain the proper air pressure and you'll be fine.
