tube behind the engine

Hello i tried to serch but my english is not good enougth to find it,

There is a tube then comes out from the header and go behind the engine, anyone know what it is for? what will happen if i cut it? in fact i cut it already, the bold dont give up and had to cut it to take out my header, anyone know the problem could cause?? the engine was runing fine for 2 weeks but now the idle is rougth, it wanna stall in time to time, i dont know if that cause the problem or is a inyector problem O_o

It's an EGR tube. If you cut it, you will have a massive exhaust leak.

I cut it and closeit, the the other end... there it goes? O_o

a friend of mine who hel me to put the header told me it dont do nothing, and he have cut a lot of those, but if is there... it must do something! O_o

it's a smog device. you can remove the pipe and seal the holes in the header and EGR valve itself (the thing behind the intake manifold that it goes to).

the car will run okay, but the emmisions will be dirtier.

Es la linea para recirculacion de gases (EGR). Lo puedes remover y bloquearlo con cualquier tapon. O cortarlo y bloquearlo con algun tipo de soldadura.
La linea va desde el escape hacia la entrada del motor en la parte de atras. Lo controla una valvula de vacio que esta conectada al plenum de admision.
Muchos aqui, incluyendome, hemos removido la valvula y sellamos con cualquier placa de acero. En el escape, puedes usar la misma tuerca del tubo con alguna moneda.
