Problem first occured maybe once a week, today it happened four times. I was under the impression that it was a coil pack or ignition related, but today my old man went for a ride with me, and assures me its a fuel cut of some sort. Only happens when I get on it real quick, almost always in second gear. I thought it was only at WOT, but today, it cut at partial ....say 1/2. Anyway, I searched today, for a good part of the day with no luck. Wondering if any of you ever experienced a similar problem, and could possibly point me in the right direction?

Got sideways with old man in car, he got pissed, I shredded a brake stand at the bottom of the driveway when leaving, :squintd: he flicked me off.....what Im trying to get at is that he aint bringin that shit to work tommorow, so his 30 plus years of experience, are no longer on my side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I got all excited when I saw that my thread had been bumped......to see this. lol. Anyways, spinning your tires while feathering the brake.

i just solved my problem which was pretty damn closae to yours.. i have ca18 as well... my problem, faulty power wire to fuel pump somehwhere in the harness so i just ran direct power to the pump from my ignition underneath the dash...... now only downside is that its controlled by a switch.. but work well for a kiss switch or anti theft:)

anyhow my car was doing the same, giving out and dying on me on WOT and partial at times.. sometiems it would just cut out on me for no reason, just idling.. but yeah,, test your wires first befor hacking:) good luck

It does seem to happen alot more when its raining....a poor connection is maybe getting damp? Another thing I could mention, It only occurs when I quickly step on it, I have yet to have it happen when just rolling the throttle on.

Is your ECU is fully connected ? My Car does the same thing when i dont screw my ECU connector tighfully. Ask your dad or someone to play with the harness on the Ecu to see if the problem occurs

hardwire the Fuel pump, so it gets a full 12volts all the time for starters. if it still occurs, your fuel pump may be crapping out.

check your gap on your spark plugs you could just be blowing out spark. it really only happens on high hp cars but check anyways
