I've noticed a loud grinding noise every time I'm steering towards the right. The noise is coming from the front, because every time I make quick jerks towards the right, it makes a sudden grinding noise. I don't think the wheels are hitting anything because when I'm steering towards the right, I don't hear anything. I've also looked under the car while the front are spinning and it seems like anything is hitting it. With my old 17's, the noise was apparent. I put on 18's and the noise is still there; neither louder or softer. Does anyone have any idea of what it can be?

stop turning right, join nascar so your car will only have to turn left, lol jk,
Could be the steering rack, out of fluid, or the column, not alot to check so you should be able to narrow it down easily

can you be a little more clear, you keep contradicting yourself?
how low is your car, it could very well be your wheel on the the fender liner or something like that? have you looked in your wheel wells for any sign of scraping?

Sorry about that. What I meant to say was when I turn to the left, there's no grinding noise. Only occurs when I turn right. My car is lowered as well. I'll go and see if it's the fender liner hitting my wheel.

on my car, it was the inside of the tire rubbing against the spring.
you have to take off the wheel, loosen the two bolts on your coilovers that connect to the hub, and pull away from the spring before tightening. then you have to set your camber plates negative a degree or so.

two words................TIE RODS. I replaced mine (although i thought my squeak was steering rack bushings) and the sound went away :)
