Does anyone know of a bike rack that will mount to a fastback? I do not want a roof rack.
I've been tossing the bike in the back of the hatch and it will fit, but if I do this enough, I'm gonna damage my bike.

How the heck are you going to damage your bike by putting it in the back?? Touring cycle? Look into getting a hitch rack, it will probably need to be custom but it is the best

Just putting it in and taking it out enough times and I'm sure a lever or a deraileur is gonna get hung up on something.
I'll look into a hitch rack.

that's the rack I've got...now I've got a coupe, not a hatch, but this rack fits on both my car and my wife's alero...it also works on suv's, minivans, and just about any other kind of vehicle...the angle of the rack is adjustable and you should have zero problems fitting it on your car...any shop that sells them would have fitment guides as well...btw it cost less than $100.

Sweet! That is exaclty what I am looking for. Decent prices too. I think it will work, even though the lip of the trunk doesn't quite go down the to bumper. I bet I can get it to go over the nasty stock foam spoiler as well.

I dont trust racks like that. One cost me 900 dollars not to long ago and it was definitely installed properly. Seriously, hitch rack or roof rack. Nothing else. Hell, the entire reason I bought a hatch though was so I could fit a biek in the back. Havent had a problem with it ever and occasionally 3 bikes end up in there.

I have one similar to this from Hollywood racks for my S13 hatch.. I believe it's "the original" rack. It's nice that you can remove it pretty easily when you're done with it. I latched it on to my crappy foam spoiler and the bottom of my car and it seems to hold pretty securely. The only thing that spoiler is good for is being used as a handle to lift the hatch and a securing point for the rack. After a while the foam starts to tear, so I would recommend reinforcing the part where the metal hook touches the spoiler.

haha, BMX son! Go to that Mission skatepark, Central skatepark, and SPOT. Up in Tampa twice a week basically and I try to make it to Orlando everynow and then. It is only 120 miles away but it turns into a 3 hour drive with the beautiful I4. It also sucks when you are on I4 and a bikerack strap snaps and you watch 3 bikes of your friends and your own tumble at 80mph to get plowed by a Geo Tracker. But riding street is always scary, Cadillacs are the enemy. I worked at a roadbike shop for a while and man those guys get killed by cars. I had just helped my boss put together a 8000 dollar bike retail, so 5k for him, and on its maiden Voyage he was plowed by an old lady in a Deville destroying basically everything. I guess he got out dece on it since her insurance ended up paying for the retail and gave him a small sum to try and get him not to sue since he was slightly injured.

Riding a bike on the street in FL is psycho. We Pwn the rest of the US in Bike deaths and car vs. bike crashes.

Just take the front wheel off. If you really want a bike rack check out danscomp.com or frankfordbike.com. They have bike racks and all sorts of bicycle stuff. Are you into racing or street?
