I am currently trying to remove the stock rear hicas rack to replace it with the kazama hicas stop bar.

As stated, I am having a problem removing my rear hicas rack(the one on the rear subframe). I have managed to remove one of the tie rods, but i cannot remove the other tie rod. When I try to loosen the the tie rod, the internals of the rack rotates with it.

I have tried to stop the rack with a wrench from rotating while i try to loosen the tie rod with another wrench, but I cannot get enough leverage to stop the rack internals from rotating.

Has anybody experienced this problem before? I.E. Has anybody successfully removed the rear hicas rack and would like to share how you did it?

Any help would be appreciated. I thank you in advance!

i had a hicas 240, i went about it the hard way and just swapped rear ends. Have you tried vice grips??

Yeah, I have tried vice grips to stop the rack from turning, but the vice grips keep on slipping off because there is barely 1/8th of an inch for the vice grips to grasp onto.
