Seat Company
Rail Company
Cost
How it sits
Opinion of seat

(1)
Nissan S14 Seats
Nissan Rails
$150
like stock
great, but a little big on me... bland looks though
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid166/pfe00007130a4e74fa08fcd5784113157/f44adc8a.jpg

(2)
Recaro Speed
Nissan Rail, custom modded
$550
tad higher than stock, sits kinda crooked due to bracket flaws
seat is comfortable and great for hard driving... but i want something a little less aggressive for everyday driving

seats: corbeau A4
rails: stock corbeau
height: too high to be comfortable
overall: wish i bought buckets or bottom mount
total cost: $720 shipped for everything (rails and seats)

Bride ZETA III (FIA Approved)
Bride FG Rails with dremeled out brackets and washers under the drivers side rear mounting hole
Cost: look it up, cheapest i found was on hopupracing

The seat sits slightly twisted - rear drivers side of the seat lower and further out. The rear drivers side still needs to come up just a touch, and then the brackets just need to slide over to the right a little more, moreso the rear brackets than the fronts. I'm only talking about half a cm here or so, nothing huge.

Fits nicely, a tad higher that stock... Very comfortable for street driving, perfect fit for track whoring.. ;)
I might be looking to invest on a bucket seat now. ;)

you'll need a harness to stay put in a seat like that, depending on your size.

i imagine you could use a bride bucket rail as long as your recaro is comparably as narrow as a bride bucket.

Brides have a fair bit of adjustment as far as width goes, the spacing between teh front and rear holes on the seat may be a factor, worst case you just drill new holes in the rail.

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/502000-502999/502218_115_full.jpg

Cost: $41.00

Custom Ultrashield seat = $240
Bride MO rails (too wide for side mounts) = $175
Sits the same height as stock I think. I'm 6'2" and I still clear the roof with a helmet on...barely.
It holds me in place great but gets a little uncomfortable on long trips. An RJS harness is on the way.

when you install just push seat all the right and it lines up a-ok
people install it outside the car tighten it down then
should install and tighten in car

r32 gtr seat. sits a little higher and my knee hits the steering column a bit more so i have to set it a little further back than optimal. firmer than the saggy stock ones i had but much better support. nice material too.
http://www3.telus.net/whf/gtr-seat-001.jpg
3 or the 4 bolt holes line up and the last one is a little short so my ghetto solution for last bolt is a large washer. woulda been a pain if the rail was longer...

Seat brackets and seatbelts are what hold you in your car if you get into an accident. Only piss poor ghetto ass ricers waste what little pennies they have on wacked ass looks (such as s15 conversions) and as a result can't afford to turbo their ka or swap in an sr OR buy brackets for their imitation bride seats. Here's a hint: You gotta pay to play and you gotta work to get paid.

BRIX (2times, borrowed 1), ZETAII, ZEIG, MAXIS.

Cobuea forza DS mounted directly to the seat bracket (no slider)
PS is mounted to the bracket with the slider. it is about a 3/4 height difference. IMO the DS is still a tad too high to fit comfortably with a helmet (@6'1" tall 220lbs)
here is a front shot to show the height difference...
