maybe he can fight another person, maybe he can't. this video shows him doin some moves, that's all.
doin moves and fighting are to totally different things.

I am sure this is more for show then pratical use, but it is the fact that this guy's movement is quick and smooth.
I tried to fight with my friend a while ago and with 5 blows....i am out of breath, lol i am too weak, got to quit smoking.

This looks more like gymnasics more than martial arts. His form sucks, he's just flailing into the air.

All I saw was some guy dancing and a bunch of people yelling in the background

i wonder what kind of competition this was?
this isn't any real form; i spotted a few ken specific street fighter moves. but, the fact that he can do them is pretty cool.

Very Sloppy. He could've just been tired, but he lacked the crispness expected in a competition like that. Overall I'm not very impressed. Needed smoother more precise movements and crisp strikes.

Anyone whose been in martial arts knows that a) self defence and sparring (kumite) are very different. And b) kumite and kata are extremely different. That's not to say the guy can't kick my ass.. maybe. But to look at kata and say "oh.. he'll pwn you" is absolutely incorrect. Because a decent blackbelt who has only trained self defence, with good form would stop that guy midair, causing a broken neck, and end of fight.
There was alot of airial moves, which don't impress me because they're so easy to stop.. but I was impressed at the foot that rises 7' in the air.
And to ThatGuy.. you're right.. it was sloppy.. but higher difficulty allows more margin for error.. his balance was amazing.. except that last one.. where he had to jump back 2' or so to not flop.

but dude, thats cause you're black. everybody knows black people are superior fighters to all of us.

The whole point of kata is so the people watching you can't tell you're practacing specific techniques. A lot of katas today stray from that and are nothing but show. I wouldn't even call that kata. Just him flailing. BTW, bogu kumite is fun.

yay, another TKD forms guy. woop.
and I knw the guy makoto is talking about with the katana.
he flings that thing around in ways never meant by my fore-fathers :)
(in the positive way)
the guy in the vid looked tired. His form was good in some spots and really bad in others, pretty spotty on the whole.
If I have to watch blingy TDK stuff, I'd rather see guys like chatarantabut, or
Valera, or davis douglas. Those guys are pretty much textbook on form all the time.

his form was alright, his execution was sloppy in some parts and on par in others. his balance both in motion and in stance were pretty good, overall..
I would have to say that he would be about average, not above, and not below.
If him and my sister were going at it, i would bet on my sister owning him.....

it was koo, i think the only reason some parts were sloppy is because he was trying to go with the music/background sounds.
