what up, been a while since I've posted I know (sorry) but I've been butt crazy busy. anyways, my Grandpa copied his Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 for my to install at my computer at home. Well, it works fine and I have a picture of my car (Sentra) that I'm photoshopping right now. Of course it doesn't look good, I'm a beginner, what can I say. Well I was curious if there is any tips or ideas you guys could help me with or tell me. I'm very computer literate and I know plenty about computers, but it took me a while to find out what everything does and what all there is and I'm probably not even half way through it. But I just wanted to know if there were any hints or tips to know about. Thanks ahead of time.

theres too much in PS youll never know it all
hmm one tip of the top of my head is the rubber stamp tool is your firend when it comes to touchups...
and lets see use the magic wand for selecting a whole area of one color instead of trying to use lasso's (sp?)

i`ll be interested in this thread too. I am eager to find out how you lot get all these photoshopped pics done. You scrutinize the pics and say you can tell its photoshopped and i`m thinkin " i cant heheheh " <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
My photoshoped pics are bits crudely cut and pasted into place. Although i did discover how to take the exact colour from a part of the picture to help blend the pasted part in which tidied my mess up slightly

Umm...I'm pretty new to Photoshop myself, but I have a tip you can use. Try to make layers, and alpha bend some of them so the picture can mesh together and look pretty nice. Actually you know what, I think thats was kinda confusing to understand, its better if show you a picture to give you an example.

You can also touch up a flat image to give it some volume. What I do is duplicate the layer(background) and using Blending Option for that layer.
Here's an example:

Hope that helps, which I think probably doesn't. But you can always IM me if have any questions, I'll think of more tips to give you.

Buy a book, trust me. There's no way you can learn something over the internet. I'm pretty good with photoshop, but it's because my friend spent 6 hours at my house teaching me. If there's anything i can do for you, let me know.... i'll try.
PS: Best thing to use in photoshop is layers. Duplicate a layer so you have 2 of the same thing, then paste in a picture and slide the inserted picture between the 2 duplicated. If that doesn't make sense, sorry.... its hard to explain.

yea any good PS user uses tons of layers, everything you do should be on a seperate layer and make sure to name them so u know what they are. You never know when you will want to move or take something out later
