basically here is the auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...T%3A1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7967948289&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AWN%3AMT%3A1)

that's the shop where I get my new power fc from, anyways, I trust that they'll deliver their goods

you guys think this is a good upgrade? I already have the t28 lines (using s14 turbo) so this shoudl be a direct bolt on. Just wnat to refer to you guys as to what you think in general. Requesting for comments pleaase. :wiggle:

but damn, now that I am going this far, I will probably find a greddy intake manuifold as well... sigh! more money

i dont think so
all aftermarket manis do run the risk of cracking=you car will be a POS at that point because you wont make much power
2 s15 kind of a stupid upgrade from a s14, imo. the power to dollar worth, isnt worth, imo. i'd upgrade to a turbo thats much better capable up to 400+ with good response.
shipping from japan, wow. screw that.

oh really? I thought the better brands such as hks (assuming that it really it is hks) has low rate of failure

so you think I shoudl run a top mount (for clearance) instead?

shit motor mounts
no bracing
crappy exhaust hangers (too soft)
no flex pipe in downpipe
etc etc etc

will lead to cracks in your mani no matter what brand it is. name brand DOES NOT mean quality all the time.

why the helldoyou need top mount for a stock turbine????

no, I was mainly looking for more "bolt ons" I know if I go into the internal I'll dump more and dump money. I was looking into manifolds when I come across that setup. It's a 1000 dollar and you are right, doesn't really have much HP gain so I'm assuming you are recommanding top mount + bigger turbo. I am lead to believe that a lot of turbos, including gt2540 have clearance issue where top mount woudl rememedy this issue.

well if you're looking for a slight increase in power get your turbo rebuilt w/ bigger internals...i think heavythrottle does it...the "Big28" i think those will do 330whp or so on moderate boost...still on stock manifold too!

if you're looking to go oem turbo, might i suggest a pulsar gti-r turbo, instead of that big28? just throwing it out there.

I am not really after oem. I am going to just assume that oem or name brand will probbaly better quality.

I am trying not to customize piping so oem replacement permits lower cost. The s15 turbo is one of the cheapest turbo around that can achieve 300ish power.

the fpbig28 is not a OEM turbo. It looks like that you are confusing the gt28r(s15 t28) with the fpbig28 which is t25 housings stuffed with rather large wheels.

nah, the focus here is the s15 late gen turbo + manifold.. just trying to get some general feedbacks on it... as to whether I Shoudl get it or not and why. I want to hear everyone's opinion/suggeetions
