Ok i did some research about this one. But not a lot of people just turn off their air bags. I have a 95 with airbags. I just want to turn them off when ever so they dont deploy on me cuas i will have a bucket seat and a roll bar. SO i dont need airbags.
What i was gonna do is undo the battery and wait for 30 min or so and unplug the sensor that is under the back seat...but someone also suggested to take out the relay for the airbag. Should i take out the relay than unplug the sensor? I know my light will be on but thats ok.

There is no relay. Unplug the module or either bag itself.

You do not have to unplug the battery. When you pull the plug from the module that takes away any chance that the air bags will deploy. There will be absolutely NO current that could go to the airbags even if the battery is hooked up. If you cut the wires with the battery hooked up that is a different story, cuz when the metal cutters passes through all the wires at the same time, the current will flow. If you just unplug the wires you will be safe.

ok, i will just unplug it and not cut. cutting it will be kinda pointless just in case i want to plug them back in. and if i want to plug it back in...i just plug the module in and rest the air bag to work?

Unplugging it will not keep it from working down the road. It's much smarter to unplug than to cut. If you want to activate them down the road, just plug it back in. No problem.

Correct. Reset before use.

That little box, aka module, is the brain, that is what tells the airbags when to blow.

yea, and u have to get a new one if ur air bags blow out (which i had to cause my car is salvaged and i had to rebuild it) kinda sucks that i had to buy it to pass the inspection and now i want to unplug it.
