S14's with extreme/custom paintjobs

I've seen only a handful of S14's that have had some custom paintwork done beyond the simple solic color look. I maybe lucky enough to get an S14 and since I could never bring myself to leave the Montego Blue (color I really like) from my FD I am considering something custom for the S14...

I was just curious what kind of paint schemes have been done in the past that look pretty cool.

I dont know -- I'm just looking for pics of what has already been done right now.

I will probably end up doing some sort of two-tone job with one section black the other maybe white with possibly gram light wheels... I dont know. :/ I've seen some awesome work dont on S13's and a couple really nice two-tone FD's that were nice.... I just am not sure what would look good on a S14, the only really custom paintjob I saw was the black with blue ghost artwork over th entire body -- that was a beautiful car but that is too much for me personally.

tinman has a two-tone kouki. it's meh. not horrible though.

im working on a custom color right now, gold flakes under a rootbeer candy with super dark gold almost brown peral, the flakes look like very small specs, and when you look at the paint it looks to be a super dark black peral but when the sun hits it or at an angle, the edges look burnt gold, im still expermenting with the color mixtures, might throw in a little copper in the candy to bring out the peral but we'll see. btw you can never get the full effect with a camera, you have to see them in person.

So does anyone have any pics? Thats what I'm really looking for -- trying to find out what would look cool so I can play with ideas in photoshop :/

Actually pink would be interesting but would get VERY mixed attention -- I thought about keeping the OE maroonish color (not sure what the S14 paint names are other than Artic White) and just freshen it up and have some sort of black and silver design added that was subtle and stylish. :/

I havent 'taken delivery' yet -- I'm hoping everything will be ready Friday for me, early enough to still get it registered and transfer my S12's tag over. :/

Its a 95' (non-SE) in rough shape and some clear coat 'burns' on the top and trunklid. The headlights are also yellowed rather badly. The car itself runs well but has an oil leak and the P/S is starting to go. (Not sure of the cause yet)

My S12 was a white 'XE' when I bought it and I did a panda scheme on it similar to the Takumi AE86. My FD is a Montego Blue and looks completely stock outside. (How I want to keep it, except for maybe wheels) The S14 is a pretty classy base for a sporty coupe... there are lots of options for it that arent 'tacky' so it can look even better so I figured it'd be nice to take advantage of that and get 'creative' with a paint scheme as my cars are usually 'boring' in that department.

I started changin my S14 to Mercedes Orion Blue metallic. I painted the whole bay for now. But i was thinking about Painting the car Yashio factory Pink with a purple pearl just to screw with the rednecks down here in Ga. Pink with a Carbon hood and Gold GTC's would look nice :)

S14's really dont have any body lines to properly pull off a two tone paintjob. S13's do. Thats why you don't see it too often.

i dont know about you guys but i see body lines, that was one of the reasons why i actually wanted to try it out with primer. long story, but to get to the point i think its alrite...not too shabby. check out the falken kouki i think it has a pretty nice paint scheme. here's mine. ill get more pics up, only if you really need to see more.

house of colors got lots lots lots of nice colors, but man made pigment scratches real easily.. im thinkin of paintin my car white with rainbow flakes and blue pearl... who knows didnt do a test panel yet.. but i think it would be nice..... all of those cars have nice paint jobs. sexay ladies...

no my wheels are still sunk. thats why im going 5 lugs.

and what do my wheels have to do with this? their car still has fugly skirts, rear, and sunken rear. thats my opinion :bigok:

its "real" wheels (what the owner had on it before) were far nicer, some sweet WEDS
