i was lookin at polls, and on the main page i saw that i had the last post in the 'how do you pernounce [sic] GReddy' thread and i posted it early this morning. i thought to myself, 'no, i posted that a few days ago. what's going on here?' in the thread itself, it has my correct timestamp.

so i think it keeps the last poster's name, but uses the time and date of the last person who made activity by either posting or voting. in this case, someone voted, and their timestamp got applied to my name on the main page.

yeah?

Yep, Polls are tricky like that. One of the reasons I dislike that section of the forums.

Every time someone votes the thread get's bumped.

When you create a poll I would recomend putting a end date on it to lock the poll after said date.
