HICAS : HKB hub HICAS dummy light on : fix?

So I installed the HKB hub I just bought :thanks logan: and I noticed a few things


all of which are consistant with another zilvia members post I searched earlier.

stiffer turning as if I had less power steering
the auto cancel for the turn signal is gone
and 5 mins of driving my hicas light turns on.

now i dont really care about the stiff turning or the auto cancel
but i would like to get my hicas back (its why i bought this car)
so is there a way around this? or a fix? I dont know if my hub is made for HICAS S13 but the other guy that posted said he bought his hub from jspec in the pink box and he also had this same problem.

So yea is there a fix for this?

your part number of your HKB Hub is ON-115? If so, it should fit on HICAS 240SX as the HKB website also say that it fit and no problem

no i didnt check the part # but it does fit fine and it works fine just that the HICAS light turns on now

have u make your HICAS sensor which behind your steering wheel vertical?

no i had to remove that, which is what im thinking is making the light go off. the hub i have would not allow me to keep the sensor (black plastic ring that spings and has 2 prongs comming out of it?)

so i take it this hub is NOT for HICAS? - damn

yes, the HICAS hub should have 2 hole for the HICAS sensor

my guess is that i had to remove the HICAS senor/cruisecontrol harness
i dont know if other hubs for NON HICAS has the auto cancel feature or maybe cause I have HICAS...

i have a boss hub and my light still comes on after like 5-10min of driving my hicas is not gone and my auto turn is still there and no loss in PS. but i can still feel the hicas when the light is on.

boss is another name for hub.

my HICAS light just come on 1 or 2 times... but i already install it like 6 months
i have not remove anything except the OEM steering wheel, haha

isnt the black ring the part once you take off your oem steering wheel you can see it, theres a bunch of sensors in it?

i didnt take out that firts thing my hub whent over that.... maybe theres ur problem
