day light savings correction

im in CA, i was GMT -8 and i changed it to -7 and at first on the bottom of the screen, it was right. but a second later, it automatically changed to -6. i did this at least a couple of times and after the first time ^. it just stays at GMT -6. any suggestions to get GMT -7? thanks

umm you shouldn't have had to change anything.

for time zone, pick pacific (GMT -8)
then pick automatically detect DST settings.

that should do it.

thats what i thought but i never changed...it still says 9:18 on the bottom of my screen... ?

ahhh...i dont mean to be a pita, but why is it still off? its kinda throwing me off everything

If you are in CA, your setting should be GMT-8 and the "Automatically detect DST" should be selected.
