Pardon my newbieness  but while I was searching for parts, I noticed that Megan Racing makes several products for S13s. I also noticed that some of them happen to be quite a bit cheaper than most other big name brands. Is it because they are just pieces of
[email protected]#* or are they half way decent? I was particularly referring to the exhaust. Any info would be great. Thanks.

dunno bout more complicated parts, but their test pipe has a high level of quality. the flanges are about 1/2" thick, the welds are decently tig/mig welded, the internal section of pipe was deburred where weld penetration would be. and it came with high quality fasteners/gaskets.
thats not to say their coilovers are any good, i have no clue about that, but as far as the test pipe, 1 vote for them here

i got their fton strut bar and 3" exhaust and it looks great. strut bar is flawless as far as looks very good quality...exhaust too . my only concern is how long it'll be before all packing material in the mffler will be blown out

I just installed their downpipe on my s13, looks great and feels to be a pretty solid piece. Don't know why it's a 3" inlet to 2.5" outlet though...? Maybe a little better back pressure? Will purchase their headers soon as well, heard good things about them for the price of course. About the exhaust though, don't know. I've searched and found that they might have some fitment issues in respect to how far out or sunken in the tip of the exhaust comes out. I'm a little bit more hesitant to purchase one of their exhausts though. I say try it, then let us know how it goes...I think we need a Megan Racing guinee pig.

I've heard the exhaust on an S13 with SR and while it didnt sound great it did have the silencer in it. Even with the silencer in however, I was not impressed with the volume of the exhaust. Wayyy too loud. The exhaust also sounded raspy but that is likely due to the silencer more than the exhaust itself. The value is there, but I would save a couple more bucks and buy something with a higher quality muffler and resonator if possible.

I read somewhere that their exhausts tips were "the optimal length for performance and look." The pics to me looked like the tip was really long. I was kinda worried about that too. From what I could tell, their products for the most part looked high quality and thats why I couldn't figure out why it was so much cheaper than all the other brands. I think with names like Greddy and HKS, you're paying for the name.

I have an S13, and I have their test pipe, (good quality), their cat-back, (again good quality), and their coilovers (appear to be good quality, but I don't judge coilovers until 6 months after install). About the cat-back, the tip does stick out kinda far, but looks are whatever to me. I actually don't really like JDM tyte canister style exhausts, but I got the exhaust for dirt cheap. Anyway, so I have a few of their products and have no complaints.

How many exhausts do they make for the 240's? I've only seen 2 that I know of... Anyone?

I know the car's real dirty, but I always hate washing it, just to get rained on the next day. Anywho, if you want any other angles just tell me and I'll put em up, but I think these show how it looks pretty good.
EDIT: oh yeah, and when people say it's loud they're not kidding. I use a 2.5" high flow cat, normaly, but when I put in the 3" test pipe, I set off car alarms all the time, like when I down shft in parking lots and stuff. Kinda funny, but it gets anoying pretty quick. With the cat it's not horribly loud for me though. I actually love how it sounds with the cat.

They're making another exhaust for s14 that has different style (shorter tip and added silencer in the b-pipe). I think it looks better and should be quiet - I've just ordered this one.

I have their coilovers. They kick ass. I used to have D2s and the megans are much smoother and they can go both softer and stiffer.

Megan makes good stuff and great prices. I have their newer exhaust and it sounds nice, not to loud either. Coils are as good as Apex, wonder why.. Stuts a strut, and guages are nice as well.

MR coils are the same as one of the "Apexi N1 EXV" coils......both made by Bor Chuann in Taiwan.

Not many negetive things to say. I think I might try out some of their parts when I get back to San Diego (military deployed to Persian Gulf). I think I might save a little more money and maybe go with an HKS exhaust or something though. Thanks everyone for your help.
