In my s13, there is a distinct creaking coming from the front while I'm coming to a stop during braking. I'm not quite sure, but I think it happens when I press harder on the brakes, but it's not a squeaking sound like that of worn brakes. It sounds like its coming from the front suspension underneath the car or something. Anybody else experience this in their s13?

Thanks!

I haven't had this happen with my 240, but I've had this happen on my GTI. Turned out that my sway bars end links were angled wrong and making horrible sounds while braking. For me, I just pulled em out, cleaned em up, and re-adjusted them so they sit right. I guess they just got worn in because my car was lowered and that turned them to sit funny. Try getting underneath the car and start tugging on stuff. If you rock the sway bar or control arms and they creak, you know your problem. Creaking is usually the sign of metal on metal. Keep us posted and good luck.

Just had a similar problem and when I looked at the tension rods, the bushing was busted open and leaking silicon everywhere.

Replaced em and its much better now. Still a little creak I can't get rid of, but at least no clunking.

i have the same shit happen to me... but i have new springs , shocks, sway bars, put in...

i think it may be my sway bar though cause the bushing does look kind of misalighened.

well i am still on stock suspension, with about 148,XXX miles... but i'm planning on upgrading my suspension soon.. im guessing that it may be the swaybar endlinks, tension rods, or lower control arms... i'll check up on those and i'll keep you guys updated..

Thanks for all the help! :bigok:
