I am going to order a catback for my completly stock ka and had a few questions for people that own the exmag and n1 dual. well here they are they apply for both systems.

How loud are they (silencers in on the n1 with the ka)
Ground clearance (which system has more ground clearance)
build quality

I have heared good things about the exmag and I hate exhausts that drone on the freeway other than that I want it to be heared but not super loud. I am afraid the exmag will be too quit for me. Does the n1 dual drone with the ka?

Get the Exmag, i have it on an sr, its quiet but not too quiet and it will be even louder on ur ka. I had the n1 dual and ground clearance sux. i tore it off goin through a carwash and my car isn't even lowered, so i got the Exmag and it has better clearance and also a "skidplate" thing so your exhaust wont catch on anything.

Yes hes not lieing, ground clearence sucks with the dual n1. But I personally love the exhuast and the sound, i even have a gutted cat and it still sounds good, it is loud but i can deal with it. I havnt heard the exmag in person to compare the two though

I sold the N1 duals for the exmag, so I've run both. On n/a KA exmag is quieter by far. Both sound nice though, the n1 duals sounded nice on my turbo motor though, but still not as nice as the exmag
Big difference is weight, which is why i got rid of the duals. My suspension is very stiff and the duals weigh 51lbs. It ripped 2 OEM hangers, so I replaced w/ Nismo solid ones. Then the metal hanger just broke right off the exhaust.
Exmag only weighs 28lbs, sounds better and looks much more stealthy.

EDIT: And as already stated there is much more ground clearance with the exmag too. I have sound clips of both exhausts as well..

can you send me the sound clips? [email protected]
I think I will go with the exmag because of the clearance and wieght why is the n1 dual so heavy? My car is low, I dont have aero and I run 16" meshies so to get rid of the wheel well gap the car is dropped quite a bit, thats actually how I broke my stock exhuast dropped a tire at the track and when it went off track my car scraped across the exhaust and frame rails on the ground and broke the welds where it hooks up to the stock resonator. thx for the opinions I really like the look of the n1 but I think the exmag will be a better choice.

why is the n1 dual so heavy?

Dual pipes, 2 mufflers... so twice as heavy..
My e-mail is not setup on this computer yet, post or PM me your AIM screenname and I can send them to you that way.

the n1 is retarded loud even with silencers for me. i havent really ever scraped it but im still on stock springs. swaybar clearance is also shit with the duals. theres a decent amount of rust forming on the flanges and welds as well.

i also think the ex-mag is still loud on an n/a ka. its plenty droney on the highway as well. it has large piping and a straight-thru muffler, both of which increase interior droning by a large amount.

i recommend you find a car thats running them if possible before you put that kinda money down.

if Exmag is too loud for you, you have no place in cars as a hoby.

Not entirely true. I have an exmag on my SR with 3''dp & testpipe and the exhaust is definetly not quiet, quieter then the majority of exhausts on the market yes, but people can still hear me coming from inside their houses, it just has a really deep sound, so its not really considered "loud" but when im WOT its as loud as any other exhaust, but its definetly quieter then most of the fartcan setups out there. And I think it sounds awesome at WOT has a very defined sound. Very good investment.

I've went from HKS Hiper to Exmag, i like the Exmag because it's not loud unless you want it to be, basically crusing such it's little louder then stock (imho) but when you stomp it it gets loud enought to be heard...

I have N1 duals on with stock suspension and 17's. I love the sound and haven't had any problems with it (hangars failing or otherwise). I am going with a spring/shock combo instead of coilovers. I'm sure if I did coilovers though, I would have some pretty big issues with exhaust clearance.
