there's no such thing as an FJ20DET... the FJ was one of the funny Nissan engines that didn't follow designation... the factory tags say FJ20ET &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

To put it plainly: the FJ is supposed to be the TRUE race engine... detuned for street use.

Its actually the FJ20ET engine. &nbsp;It came in the 1981 to 1984 model Skyline (skyline H/T 2000). The newman skyline and the tekkamen skyline are from those model years. &nbsp;even though the engine code is ET and not DET it was DOHC. &nbsp;Also if I'm not mistaking that is the only 4 cylinder skyline engine out there that was turbo charged for a sports model skyline. &nbsp;The engines used in the skyline are the S20, L20,GA30,G-1,G-15,G16,L18E,Z18,CA18S,CA18IRB20E,RB20DE(T),RB25DE( T),RB26DETT,FJ20E(T)NON INTERCOOLED, and FJ20E(T) INTERCOOLED

Well I knew about the CA and the RB and the L20 engines because I used to see them around and my cousin had a tekkamen with a FJ in it and my friend's dad had an old japan model that had L20, &nbsp;The GTS-R skylines came with a T04 turbo on a RB20DET engine and I've only seen one ever(only had 800 made) &nbsp;Some of the older ones that I mentioned are from books that I used to read all the time on the skyline when I was in highschool. &nbsp;The CA18 came in alot of the R32 skylines I've seen and those cars are dirt cheap.

Ya FJ20ET dope ass engine of its day . Nissan used it in their race trucks they stroked it to 2.4 liter and got monster power.Won offroad races with it, with I believe, Rod and STeve Millen driving. Originally I wanted to stick one in a 510 or 200sx (Silvia,which it actually came in in Japan). circa mid 80's
