Good job will, I think this is the first time I have seen someone give the right information the first time. It seems as though the Turn Fast site is down though.
http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif thanks, yea turnfast.com does seem to be down, lotsa good info there, hope it comes up soon. I read a lot there before I raced an event once.

Not only will you need two clutches but you need two transmisions as well If you don't double clutch properly, the floor of your car will fall off.
The article linked above to turnfast is on how to heal-toe downshift. The section on double clutching is at the bottom, although it won't make complete sence unless you read the whole thing. BTW its up now.
i have the double clutch system set up on my S13, when I race I usually have a passenger since my other shifter and clutch is on their side, when I say go thats when they "double clutch" and my car zooms past RX-7's and the like.

That movie was the most in-accurate pos ever. If (I mean when) they make a sequal I hope to god they actually do some research on what they're talking about. You would think if you're going to spend 110 million dollars on cars alone, you would spend some time figuring out that not every damn word out of a street racers mouth is NOS.

But why would they waste their time doing research to make everything right, when every wannabe in the Universe went to go see it, and bought it on DVD, etc. with all of the mistakes in it.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie because, well, it's a movie, and not everything is going to be correct in it. I thought it was the best movie based on cars that I have seen.

FATF sucked because the story sucked, the goal of the plot sucked, and the events that occured sucked. Beyond that, it was technically inaccurate plenty of times to gripe about, and did indeed exploit the growing trend of import racing in a way that wasn't beneficial for the import culture at all.
Good movies based on cars??? To call the Fast and the Furious the best movie based on cars is an insult to the film making industry. As for modern movies?? Gone in 60 Seconds was way better. Older movies that are worth watching instead of FATF?? How about watching a good old Firebird drifting away from cops (since every one of us and our mother loves drifting) in Smokey and the Bandit, or watching the cross country races in Cannonball Run and Speed Zone (skipping a Lamborghini across a pond has to be the single best car stunt ever performed in a major motion picture)??

Woah there Ace, settle down. I didn't say that it was the best car movie ever made, I said that it's the best car movie that I have ever seen. I forgot about Cannonball Run though, that movie did rock!!! As for Gone In 60 Seconds, well, I have mixed feeling about that movie.
I have actually never seen Smokey and the Bandit, I'm sure it's much better, but I can't judge that because I haven't seen it. I'm not giving the movie praise or anything, it's my personal taste that I liked it, it doesn't mean you have to. I know it wasn't beneficial to the imort crowd as a whole, and for that I should hate it, but for some reason, I just can't bring myself to hate it...
Think of it this way, when the next Hollywood Trend comes along, all of the wannabes will go in that direction, while we will still be right here. That's all that counts.

It's always good to see ppl who really make an honest opinion and don't follow the crowds. What you thought about the movie is your own opinion. We all know the movie stank.
Everybody i'm sure watched the movie just for the cars. what happened after that with the nos and neons is wacked. but the movie's pretty neat to watch when you want to see hooked up cars and crazy kits. Then again.. why not just go to a car show.

lol.... i hate FATF so much... i might just come to like it. Anyways, I get touchy when people put crappy movies ahead of the greats.... I mean... Jackie Chan in a turbo Mitsu racing against Lamborghinis and Ferraris?? What more do you want??

alright GUYS , had anyone here seen the original Gone In 60 Seconds , that is the best stunbt driving ever , because everything in the movie was done by one guy and he broke his back , wrapping himself around a telephone pole(which i might add is in the movie , except for the broken back part) , it was a great movie , it was made in the seventies and , isn't the same story line exactly , but it all focuses on the 45 minute car chase at the end of the movie(Longest in history!!

i don't really know what you guys arguements are, but here's my opinion:
Fast and the Furious should have been called "See Some Badass Cars and Forget About the Plot". That's what I did. I liked the movie just because of all the cool cars. The different styling aspects gave me some insight into what a car can look like with the proper fundage. Yeah all that street racing BS was just that, BS, but if you care about that, I'm sorry you were dissappointed. I personally love Gone in 60 Seconds more, even though it didn't have ONLY the cars I'm interested in. It had a good plot, clean acting (big names), and some real nice stunts (the original video also). It was more about the spirit of cars. It showed how fun and radical car racing (well ok, jackin cars also) can be. I guess it depends on if you want cars or plot. FATF did hurt the import racing image though. It put dumbass "i'll trade you my cap'n crunch for your froot loops" kids behind the wheels of highly tuned, racing machines. Money doesn't make you a good racer, sure helps though.

That would require that the movie had badass cars in it.... which it didn't.
