ok I just got a pair of tanabe sway bars and I \'m having a bit of trouble installing them. The rear went on w/o a hitch, but the front ones are a bitch. The sway bars come with 2 new busings because the sway bar is bigger and needs a bigger busing. It also comes with 2 new brackets for the same reason. The problem is the the busing meets up with the chassis, and the bracket isnt big enugh to go arround it and meet up with the mounting holes. I can get one side threaded in, but the other side wont be. I tried jacking up on this and the damn thing still wont move. The only things I can think of is to get a new bolt for the one side or cut down the busing some how. If anyone has any other ideas let me know. I illustrated the problem bellow with my mad paint skills! The thick line is the bracket that obviously doesnt line up, cant you tell from my drawing skills?!?

Thread those brackets in before you tighten the endlinks.

The end links are not even on. The first thing I wanted to put on was the mounting busings.
I had no problems whatsoever to put those on... My D bushings had the slotted side to the rear and the hole in the front.

If you are having difficulty holding the swaybar in place while getting the bolts started, use a jack to help you locate the bar.

trim the bushing down
Ive got a set that goes on at the end of the month. I didnt get any other brackets, I did get the rubber bushings for the car though.

I think you are going to need the brackets. I didn't try to see if the stock ones would fit around the front bar, but if they include the brackets with the bar most likely its a necessary(bigger) part...
