35 series tires seem a bit small. Most people go with 45 series, at the smallest 40 series. Using 35mm will decrease the overall diameter of your wheels/tires. This will lead to inaccurate readings from the speedometer and odometer. In addition, 35 series won't provide much protection for the rims. I hope you live in an area where the roads are perfectly flat and pothole-less or else you may risk damaging/bending a rim. But if it's a good deal, go for it...you can always change tires at a later time.

this has always confused me...but why are some people concerned with the speedometer readings??? &nbsp;the miscalculation is not usually high enough for concern...i.e. a speeding ticket??? &nbsp;just wondering...

No, you're absolutely right. It only causes an error of 1 or 2 mph...hardly anything that you would notice. But I thought I should just let him know anyway...ya never know...he might be interested in knowing that.

I might be wrong.. (I always am) But didn't he say 4 lug Universal? &nbsp;isn't that a 4 x 100 pattern? &nbsp;Civics have that pattern. &nbsp;The Nissan S13/14's have a 4 x 114.3 &nbsp;(correct me if i'm wrong) &nbsp;unless he's getting the rims for a civic or something. &nbsp;Then &nbsp;i'm wrong.

I always thought 4-lug universal was an 8-lug including a 4x100mm option and a 4x114.3mm option. &nbsp; But if Bomix is right, then they won't fit.

lanceS13 is right...4 lug universals carry 2 types of bolt patterns which are the 4x100 and 4x114.3(which are the most popular). So youll almost never see some universal wheels carry the 1st gen Rx7 4x110 bolt pattern <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

There might be one problem having wheels that big. Test fit the wheels and check the FRONT sruts. Look at the lower lip on the strut body...(the one which the spring sits on)...and check that the tire doesn't rub on it.

I have 16" rims with 55 series tires and they have about half an inch clearence on that strut lip.

You don't have to worry about any rubbing i have 18's with 35 series tires, just make sure they are the right offset that is the only thing you have to worry about
