okay i have a 95 240sx....
so yknow how they have a real cat and just a dummy cat...
i went to a shop the other day to see if they could just weld a test pipe on or what the fuck ever...the mechanic went postal on me because of some shit about 15,000 dollar fine for removing a cat whether its real or not.
anyone know a shop in the bay where i can get a test pipe made or welded on or whatever...help a girl out haha...

Get a high flow cat. The difference between a high flow cat and a test pipe on your ka is maybe 1hp. Plus you wont fail smog.

I'm there alot. Oh and to your question. Well if you want to run a test cat, god knows why unless you have turbo, you can A). buy a s13 cat or s14 cat and gut it out B) have him make you one but like the previous one told you, he'll prolly tell you the same thing C). Get a turbo exhaust thats just a straight pipe with a muffler which eliminates the cat and the bonus of a nice exhaust.
Have fun.

WTF is wrong with you guys. It's not a dummy cat, it's fooking resonator. sheez.
Even if it were a cat, it wouldn't be efficient, since its mounted distantly from the exhaust manifold.

well the first "dummy cat" is a collector/resonator then the cat. That bit of obvious but i think a lot of people are mistaken because of the apperance and not knowing why its hallow.
