i just went to a local shop for some rims for my 95 240sx (base model)
i want the 17' Buddy clubs P1 racing II plus (gunmetal)
17x7.5
42 offset
4x114.3

he said he can give them to me $600 flat out the door for all 4 rims.. or $1000 for those rims on Kumho ecsta 711 (225/45/17) including Mount and balance...

im new to buying rims and tires so im not sure...
do you guys think hes asking for a fair price??

-thanx in advance

i think those offsets and width suck balls, and that you should find wheels elsewhere

Go look through the picture thread and see what wheel sizes other people use and if you like the size then use them to pick out wheels for your car. For that price you might as well save alittle more and buy some wheels that have a lower offset which looks better.

+42 you'll definitely need spacers, do yourself a favor and get the right offset to begin with, don't spend $ on something that you'll be unhappy with later on, I speak from experience.+25 (+/- 5) would be a good starting point, figure out what works with your brake/suspension setup and go from there.

AHAHHA, that dude is selling you some Honda Accord Pizza Cutters. Personally, I'd run no less than a 9 inch wide wheel front and rear if I had a choice.

Right now I'm using 17x9 +17 with 215/45 ST115's stretched on there on all four corners. I might add some 235/40's to the rear but I have to pull the fenders.

if you like the looks get the koseis. same shit, better widths and better (than 42) offsets. anywho, the rims arent a bad price and the tires seem to be a rip...im assuming your using 225/45/17? if not 235/45/17? well, either case, the tires shouldnt be more than $73-76 a piece (respectively). 400 more for 711s? dont think so...

hey bro, you want something with ATLEAST 8 width...those buddy club wheels are for hondas, and look ugly as fuck on a 240...you are 4 lug im guessing, get some FN01RC 17x8 all around +35 and run some spacers...they are only 800..200 bucks more than the ones you want, but atleast they are better size..heres the link to jspec...thats where i got 800 from
http://jspec.com/5zigfn4lug.html or you can look around alot of people sell these really cheap.

yeah, and not only are they only 200 bucks more...but they're brand new as opposed to however used this guy's wheels are

get some good sizes the first time around...wait till you can afford what you WANT...not try to want what you can afford

If you have two cars and want those on your daily driver accord yeah sure it wont be bad. Tirerack sells the Kosei K1(same dang thing) in 16x7.5+12 for 220 bucks each. I might have to roll up on those soon enough. You have to contact them to find the sizes available though

nooB learns a rewarding lesson. search this chat section and the pics thread to see more fn-01cs on cars. that way +42 offset wont seem appealing to you unless you want the polar opposite of the mexicali look.
