I am just wondering if this setup will be to loud. I am going to get my exhaust made soon, and i am planning to use a dynomax muffler for the resignator, andthen anther dynomax muffler as the main muffler. This is also on a ka turbo. 2.5 inch piping. will this be anoyingly loud? Will this be loud running na with out a cat? What if i was to use a dynomax muffler as a reignator, and a magnaflow muffler as the main?? has any one done this set up?

My car crush bent 2 1/4 in piping w/cat, on a N/A KA tested at 102.7 Db.
California Db limmit is 95 Db. Hope that helps.

That would be really quiet. You might want to get a real resonator instead of two mufflers though, and make sure they are straight through designs. Heck, 3'' with a resonator and a muffler is NOT loud at all. Turbo=quiet

i had a dynomax superturbo on my cougar with 2.5" pipes and it wasn't the quietest thing in the world but by no means too loud. a lot of interior resonance, though.

Why do you want to run a 2.5" with a KA-T?

just use a silencer on a good 3 inch cat back. you going for performace, right? since you got a KA-t. if not and you want it to be quite you might wanna try a caddy.
it is gonna be loud regardless, u can get RSR ex mag and that will keep it kinda quite.

RSR Mag is pretty quite on my KA, it lets out a little garble once in a while, but other then that it's quite... quiter then my HKS hiper 2.5

why only 2.25" piping

why only 2.25" piping
I am defintly going for performance, its just i live on a fat hill with a really steep drop, and my car is slammed, and I already cracked the stock exhaust ( the middle of my car gets stuck and like sometimes the back wheels will be spinning with out even moving the car) so if i get a 3 inch, i think that will hang way to low. So i was going for 2.5 inch for clearance issues. and only running 7 lbs of boost, i dont think i will notice that much difference from a 2.5 inch to a 3 inch any way. Also when i get the exhaust made they are not going to be crush bends. and what i meant from "2.5 inch piping" is 2.50 inches, not 2.25 the reason i want something quiet is I am already getting messsed with from cops, with my can muffler lol

It shouldn't be too loud. I have no cat and no exhaust whatsoever on my N/A KA, and it's not nearly as loud as you'd expect it to be. I've got a wierdass KA, thought, the only N/A one I've ever seen to reliably pop fireballs. I'm gonna put a straight pipe with a resonator on it soon, though.
