Hellooo!! Does anyone know if California 240sx cars have the same or less power than the rest of the U.S. cars? Just wondering cuz you know cali has those smog laws, and most cars over there have less BHP. anyway would appreciate any feedback!

actually dave, it is true. Mitsubishi has this (pathetic aint it??), some cali cars require extra emissions equipment. 95-99 Eclipse GST/GSX have 210hp in all other states except NY and CA (205 i think.) My friends 2000 eclipse had only 140hp as opposed to 150hp in other states. it is stated in fine print of the brochures. I know Mitsubishi and i think a couple other car manufactures has this... But nissans? I dont think so (or not that i heard of IIRC).

I think Mazda does it as well...at least with the Miata; but I don't recall the exact numbers.

well, here's the thing, my 89 camry has 2 cats... and only the camry in cali had 2 cats... 'cause according to the owner's manual, it had a diagram where the cats are, and it showed the second one and in quotes (california vehicle only), so 2 cats r bad <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'>
