Hey,
Ive got a 97 and it seems to go through headlight (lo-beam) bulbs like they're candy. The high-beams dont seem to last too long either, but its not as bad as the lows. They only seem to last a year or so!
Wondering if anybody else with a 97-98 has the same problem? Or if anybody knows what the hell is going on.
Thanks

Are you sure you're using the correct watt rated bulb. I'm not sure what it is but it's in your manual. If not that then maybe try to change the fuse?

OE replacement or aftermarket (blue or ? )

The only aftermarket bulbs I have found to hold up are the Phillips bulbs. They are the ones that made the OEM bulbs too. I have gone thru a number of H1's from ebay sources and all have failed quickly. I purchase my hyper whites from a website at http://www.autolamps-online.com/products/orderform.htm

The bulbs that were in there (they have both burnt out in the last week) were nothing special. Not blue or any cheapo aftermarket like that.
Actually the dealer changed them almost exactly a year ago (not sure why) so whatever they put in just went.
I'm thinking of replacing them with PIAAs, but I dont want to be going through $120 bulbs every month!

Here's a super simple idea for your problem...check to see that the headlight casings are sealed properly. They could be leaking water onto the bulbs. I went through two sets of bulbs in a couple weeks because of it!
