Is that a first gen Celica in you avatar? Did you have these wheels on one of those? I am looking for a staggered set in similar sizes, so long as they fit ok.

Dont sell them to Eric he has ENOUGH shit right now

=P

TheTicTac

s13gonwild: I'm not going to sell the adapters without the rims. The adapters are kyo-ei with the studs already pressed.

240KAT: It's all drift kings fault, blame it on him!!!

SpeedMonkeyInc: My avatar is a KPGC110. Hmmm 1st gen celica, that would look pretty hot! Like maybe 75 fastback with jspec bumpers? You might need some overfenders and slim down the tires to make it fit on that car.

SpeedMonkeyInc
03-06-2005, 12:19 PM
I don't know what a KPGC110 is? Looks cool though. Yeah, I am thinking more like 14x7 or 15x7 0 offset give or take a little. 195s in front and 205s out back....just for looks really. I have a 77 GT Liftback thats my street car.
Thanks!

TheTicTac
03-06-2005, 02:37 PM
I honestly don't see these rims fitting the car without some fender work.

KPGC110 is a 1973 "ken mary" skyline GT-R. '77 liftback, with the bumpers that stick out like 5ft in front of the car!! j/k. Thats a cool old school racer, you pan on doing anything with it?

SpeedMonkeyInc

Sweet. I like Skylines.....

I don't really want to do anything with my RA29, except restore it to about 8/10ths. Right now, two weeks after I bought it its at about 6/10ths. Just needs a good cleaning, and a few new parts. I already have lowering springs and new dampers in the mail. Maybe a hot carb and headers, and a sick dual tip pipe, Trust DD style. My S14 is the money pit! I don't need two! hahaha
Good luck with those wheels.

Whats the offset of the wheels WITHOUT the spacers?

That lip looks way too small for the wheels to be -2 and +13... unless its just me, and the pics are failing to convey proper sizing. :P

s134
03-10-2005, 04:26 PM
damn!!!! i just payed 250 for a pair of these!!! with tires

TheTicTac
03-10-2005, 06:59 PM
kazuo: those ARE the offsets WITHOUT the spacers. I measured the lip the 7.5's have a 2.5 inch lip and the 8's have about 4inches. I think the angles I took the pictures at, made them look smaller.

s134: That's cool congrats on your high offset dori's. Whats the sizes 15x7+36?? That would be cool on my accord.

i dont wanna sound like an asshole, but are you sure those are 15x8? i mean a 205 on an 8 is stretchin it,and that little 205 doesn't look stretched.

Oh wow.

Not that I doubt you, but would it be a hassle for you to take pics of them with like a dollar bill or something over the lip so I can see how big the lips are?

Just curious... myself & a guy I know might want to buy a pair each from you. ;)

Thanks

I made a mistake with the 15x7.5 rims they are +17 instead of +13, I was thinking about my other set when I was typing. The 15x7.5 pair have type C barrels while the 15x8's have type B, which make the lip of the rim bigger on the 8's. The tires don't look stretched is because they are 55 series.

s134: Well good for you. Do you want a cookie now? Why don't you post your offsets and sizes?

The ones for sale here are pretty rare and $1300 is a reasonable asking price. It doesn't matter how much YOU paid for a set (even if they were the more rare sizes... which they probably aren't). I know someone who bought a set of R34 GTR wheels for $400 (yes, the 18x9 +30 ones). Does that mean the next guy selling a set has to sell his for $400?

Go home.

EDIT: Are your wheels even dori-doris? Or are they just some mesh wheels that LOOK like the ones for sale?

do they clear z32 calipers? i'm pretty amazed for a lowballing moron like yourself can even afford z32 calipers and a MATCHING set of kei offices. can you do yourself a favor, please stop pestering every person on zilvia that is selling rims if the rims they are selling can clear your z32 brakes and asking them to pull off the tires and reduce it $100 cheaper. gawwwd... maybe your mom should've aborted you a long time ago knowing that she has raised such a dumb broke ass child.

You're cheap, not mean or realistic. And on the subject of being real, what's the story on your rims hmmmm? First it was "I got a pair for 250" later on it's "I got a set for 500" WTF mate!!

Oh and news flash, you'll never get old school SSR mesh type rims to fit Z32 calipers without a thick ass spacer like the ones I offered with my rims, so it's hard for me to believe that someone as frugal as you, would drop cash down on something you couldn't use.

Well have fun with your imaginary rims with the high offsets.

this is the saddest thread I have ever read through in my life. ppl driving /w imaginary rims, imaginary kits, and probably imaginary diffs. I'm closing my Firefox window right now.

$1300 for low offset 4-lug dori doris with tires is fair, but hey, I'm sure some of the people in this thread would shit their pants screaming OMG, THOSE ARE SOME DOPE ASS SSR MESH WHEELS DAWG when in reality they are looking at $200 enkei mesh wheels.

s134
03-23-2005, 06:42 AM
soo angry all of you, 250 + 250 = 500 last time i checked, i have 2 15x7 -3 offset and 2 15x7 with 36 offset up front with huge spacers, so they even out quite nice

quarter inch is huge? :tweak: :loco: :wtf:

haha i just keep picturing that old guy from simpsons like "you sunk my battleship" i had about the same offset/width wheel as you before and i had 25mm spacers and they were still pretty sunk, 1/4in. is like 6mm... wowzers.

p.s. - bump for some neato wheels... neato gang.

well i'm sure he's willing to take a realistic offer and isn't too firm on the 1300 price. unless even that's too much for you since you seem to have ditched the typhoons for two black steelies and two poorly-painted steelies, so i assume money must be tight for you, or you have the most interesting concept of "improving a car" i've ever seen.

unless even that's too much for you since you seem to have ditched the typhoons for two black steelies and two poorly-painted steelies, so i assume money must be tight for you, .

what gives you the right to make assumptions on my financial status by looking at the rims on my drift car? i can buy 3 sets of work wheels if i wanted to but that would be money spent on you, not on me. The difference between me and some other people is that i would rather have the right size/offset than the right style. i would take 17x9 mustang wheels over 17x8 work wheels. And i would certainly rather sport stock steelies than have to muster up the balls to tell people how much i spent on 15 inch meshies. Unfortunately there are some idiots in the 240 scene that promote price gouging on items like this. And i'm still waiting for some decently priced 17x9 +15's in 4-lug or a 5-lug swap. Thanks for your concern though.

or you have the most interesting concept of "improving a car" i've ever seen

I improve the most important part of the car, which is me, the driver.

hmmm that sort of does not explain why you then have two black steelies and two, flaking-gold paint steelies on your car, and most liklely not with very high performance-oriented tires either... weren't the typhoons a better fit, AND wider than the steelies, AND outfitted with better tires for performance driving applications? hmmm

how about that? does that explain it enough? did you conveniently copy/paste everything before that sentence for some reason?

and most liklely not with very high performance-oriented tires either... weren't the typhoons a better fit, AND wider than the steelies, AND outfitted with better tires for performance driving applications? hmmm

The typhoons were wider, but one could argue that they werent a better fit. And i've moved up in tire quality. the last tires i ran with were dunlop fm901's which are comparable to the es100's that were on the typhoons.

It troubles me that you know the history of my wheels in detail with colors and sizes and models and i dont even know who you are.

okay ..i will break it down for you if you insist.

i had 4 tyhphoons. i would have had to buy 2 more to be able to have just ONE backup pair for drift events. And i would have had to pay more for each tire that i used. When i bought this car, i had never drifted before...so i figured it would be better to have inexpensive tires and wheels.(i was expecting to crash here and there) I have 6 backup steelies with tires(besides the ones installed on my cars) cause i have 3 s13's at the house and one of them smokes up a pair of tires in an hour of driving. Now i've been to 5 or 6 events and i'm ready to upgrade to better wheels and i'm on the lookout for some.

BTW if you dont like the color of the wheels take it up with Luke(blu808) cause he painted them, and i had to use 2 whole cans of carb cleaner to get rid of the gold and red paint.

Again thanks for your concern

no because the rest of the post was sorta baseless after the other comments. affordably-priced, wide wheels, in a good fitment? get yourself some FN01s. cheap enough new.. and if that's too much, plenty available used. See... easy as that.
and who cares that they're common.. the wheels fulfill your criteria: affordable, decent quality, good fitment, good sizes, easy to acquire replacements when needed. remember, you don't care about looks, so why not get those?

well i have no problem with FN's and i dont care if they're common..it's just that they arent available in wider than 8 inch in 4-lug. and i already had 8 inch wheels..the typhoons remember? ideally i'd like some 17x10's all around but i dont feel like doing any body work to make them fit so i'll settle for 9's (for now)
