I was out and around when i saw the new sports compact mag. on the cover was a s13 drifting. i decided to flip through the mag and i noticed that it had three articals on the 240. The first is about a 498hp KA-DET. then the next one was on a s13 jdm conversion. the last and most intresting one was a artical on doing a sr swap and a s13 front end conversion for under 3000$$$!!! its a crazy artical check it out.

i love reading articles on our cars, but the more articles, the more others are gonna get interested and buy em. i bought mine cuz it was very unique around here......i had never seen an S14 in this area. three more cars have popped up in the last month , one will be mod'd, one may get mod'd, the other prob not. ahhh, well

flip side is the more people involved, the more parts become available, and potentially the cheaper they get , guess that's good for most, huh?

The way I see it is we all knew that the were rare or unique when we got into them and if it they do become popular (highly unlikly I think) we still know we were into it before it got trendy or whatever. Like they always say, who cares what others think, what matters is what you know.

Aw shit, I suscribe to Sport Compact Car, but I haven't gotten the May issue yet. I just got my first issue late last month, which was the April issue with the B16 powered captiva blue Civic hatch that they're working on.

Yeah thats right gschroeder78. The car is WAY too rare around where I live to become noticed hardly. I see one at school daily, my neighbor has one, and I have seen 5 elsewhere throught the whole city of charlotte NC in 4 years. They just dont have enough of them to become a civic. I think that its the way it ought to be. Just imagine, seeing a riced up 240. CHILLS.

You guys might not be noticing the rice effect but in South CA its starting to really get up there. Its sad to see a 240 sold to some ricer who just sold his civic/integra to do a "silvia conversion", figuring all he knows about the 240 is what hes seen in Super Street or SCC and eventually ends up in here spreading his new found knowledge like its the absolute truth and no one knows better.

I live in Charlotte too. There are TONS of S13's though. I saw 4 black 240's in 3 hours one day just out running errands.. the 97-98 however are rather rare. I see 2-3 95-96 a day too.

I'm kind of worried about 240sx's gaining popularity. I've wanted an s14 (but I'm a poor college student) for more than a year and if all the ricers buy them up, I'll be screwed in finding a nice one.
