My car is plagued with it too. The rattle that increases with engine speed in the dash to the right of the cluster.

I'm getting sick of it. Since it's been cold down here lately, more and more rattles are starting to pop up, such as my door panels (will fix those soon).

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever successfully fixed this rattle. I've seen posts about it but never any concrete answers.

Go to walmart buy some of that felt with the adhesive backing and put it on around the edges of the aircond bezel, radio, and shifter....etc where the plastic touchs plastic .Problem solved

There is a FSB on the dash harness hitting some bars or something. It's been awhile since I looked it up.

Mine is caused by change in the coin slot. Its not a great fit... but I know that I'll get rattling from that section. If you've still got it w/ no loose change in the coin slots, then pull the dash...

Or you can go the easier way and remove the radio/AC unit and feel around from behind....

Last resort, just do what I do --- turn up the radio ;)

My old cracked dash squeaked like crazy, but I haven't heard a peep outta the dash since I replaced it. Don't know if this helps, just sharing my experience.

well maybe things get loose overtime and replacing the dash fixes that because you retighten everything again?

i always thought my rattle was in the dash, but it turned out it was the thing screwed into my exhaust manifold heat shield (to carry the dip stick). Once I took that off, bye bye rattle....until i got my obx ss :-(
