I'm dropping my N/A idea since I just came into a bit of money, so I've got a few options. Turbo and rebuild the KA, or swap for an SR or a CA. I'm really stuck deciding between them, but I'm leaning a bit toward the swap. One problem though, is i'm not sure that I can get a good shortshifter for the CA or SR trannies. I've heard that the B&M shifter will work in a few different transmissions, can anyone confirm this?

Any shifter that works on a KA will work on a SR/CA/RB.

I'm pretty sure all the S13-14's had the same tranny. be it SR, KA, or CA. However they had different Bell Housings. I could be wrong, but I read that they all had the same series tranny. something like C71 or something

Well, every little bit counts. Besides, 240's are known for sloppy shifters, and I hate that feeling, as do a lot of other people. If you can put a quality shifter in, like the B&M, it helps finish off the car. After all, isn't that the whole point of mods? To upgrade the car?
