Ok guys,

Im torn on which motor to put into my 95 240SX. I want to choose the engine that is easier to install (S13 I assume) but the S14 is newer, and makes a little more hp stockwise but then again more expensive.

What are your opinions on which one to choose? Pros and cons of installing both.

PS - Is the S13 engine easier to install in the 95 240 or do I have bad information? :D

You already have an S14 motor in your car.

Please specify what in hell you're talking about next time.

I meant SR20DET S13 or SR20DET S14. That should kill the little confusion that should arise.

How about I ask you to not shit in my thread and maybe actually answer my question which I think to be pretty legitimate.
I am looking for peoples opinions on what motor they like best and their reasons behind it so spare me the 'search' reply if thats what you are going to say next. :fawk:

who told you the s13 was easier to install?
do me a favor and shove a stick up their ass cuz they dont know shit..
s13 way more wiring work.
the s14 requires you to rewire a few wires from the sub dash harness to the eng harness( the f3 plug if i remeber right) way easier than messing with a s13...

OH and SEARCH..

Guys,

I have already searched, just because I spent the last two days reading every search post doesnt mean I am still convinced.

I know the S14s are newer, make more power, but is it worth the extra bank? I just want someone to tell me straight up, go with the XX because of XX.

S14_blacktop- Obviously someone who didnt know what they were talking about. Thanks for the help!

Why don't you learn to make up your own damn mind. Either way I'm assuming you'd want to modify the engine after installation, down the road. So stfu, quit whining, and do it already.

s14 becasue if you do s13 the aftermarket parts become more"bastard" if you want an s13 sr get an s13 its just right!!!!

Its pretty obvious what he was talking about, I am sure even you could have figured it out. If you flamers weren't so eager to jump up everybody's ass who isn't redundantly specific, or calls something by the name you think it should be called, you wouldn't waste so much dead space. People need to relax a little here, and not get so excited about these things....don't you have anything better to do?

Its not a S14 motor!!!!! its a USDM 240sx KA24DE!!!

I think i'm confused? are you talking about the KA or SR cuz I automatically thought you meant jdm s14 with the sr20det not the KA24DE...
my info was for the s14 sr20det...!

you do know there are other engine choices besides the sr's!!!

Whiplash Willy

He is talking about a SR, because installing a S13 KA into a S14 woudn't be easier then installing a S14 KA, and both S13 and S14 KAs have the same power.

God, stfu whiplash willy, you dont even drive a DAMN 240!!! Show some respect around here. First of all...YES DO A DAMN SEARCH. The whole S13 SR vs S14 SR has been covered up in this bitch 4985729874982798472975027489247598729 times. Dousan made a point, Russ misunderstood and Makoto is being a dick as usual. But as usual this is how Nubies get started off here they do a quick search, open up 3-5 of the post that pops up and stop. Yall need to read more than that!!!

But back to the subject tho. Depends on your plans. If your gonna stay stock, S14 in a S14 but i doubt that will happen. Once you start modding both engine, you'll reach a point where the variable timing on the S14 wont make any difference.
I went with the S13 route since i got my engine for $1600 vs the $3200 asking price for S14 a year ago. That $1600 difference ended up going to engine mods on my car.
