RWD sucks....

I for one dislike driving a FWD car, i think thats pretty clear. But what do you guys think? Check out what the people at Vortex had to say.

Owning a POS FWD Accord, I can definitely say that FWD sucks. &nbsp;I believe that it is more forgiving for unexperienced drivers, but a RWD car is better for experienced drivers IMO. &nbsp;Obviously that guy in the s2000 wasn't experienced.

Transient- Vortex is a hard crowed and they will take any chance they can to cut at you. Not the best people on the planet. IMO that is. I have never seen a better forums for any car than some of the help forums. I still post in the A2 forum onca and a while. When I sold my Jetta though, I basically only started posting in the Car Lounge, and the rest over here.

Was that a VW site? I may not pay much attention to Euro cars, but aren't most VW's FF (front-engine front-wheel) cars? I just find this amusing because I have a friend who drives a supercharged GTI VR6 and he constantly argues with my friend who has a Miata and FC3S about which format is better, FF or FR.

as a novice FWD is still better for me , as im still getting used to the RWD.

my GT-Z handles much better than my S13 .. i don't know if its because of its suspension setup or because of the FWD layout. but i know that the S13 can handle better with a better driver that much i know

FWD, AWD, RWD, whatever, it's all in the matter of preference. If you can drive your car and make it do what you want it to do, I could care less what your car is and what your format layout is. There's great drivers of all types and there's idiot drivers of all types. Personally, FWD annoys the hell out of me... I got very used to RWD cars because unlike a lot of people, all of my cars until now have been rear wheel drive. When I picked up the tercel, I found myself constantly understeering with it even when i wasn't pushing it. After a few months I got used to it and stopped understeering as much, but I still hate the FF layout.

It seems to me that RWD is much more predictable... you give it too much throttle in a corner and the rear will come around a bit... That's easy to control. Also, acelleration is MUCH better, I could spin the tires in my tercel all day and it's NOT because it has the power to do it. And lastly... correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a RWD car have more of a 50/50 weight ratio because of the drive shaft and rear end?
