if this is off a hicas, does that mean that it came off a car that had abs too? If the hicas car had abs, it won't work without the driveshaft since the abs driveshaft is shorter because of the longer vlsd (abs) differential. If this is the case, how much for the driveshaft as well?

nope sorry but you are wrong, i have a base model non-abs non-hicus car and the diff is off of a abs hicus car and it bolted up fine

it came off of a s13 hicus so its a direct bolt on for the s13

so this is the diff outside of it's pumpkin and just the diff or are you swapping a new pumpkin for your 2-way?

Good question.
But he stated that you will not need axles or outputshafts.
He would probably include the pumpkin, rear diff cover, and everything inside.
And on top of that, the price is $350.
Nobody in their right mind would buy just the VLSD gear and output shafts for $350 without the pumpkin and rear cover.
But you're right, we don't know for sure.

That's where Hamsterball comes in. *Grins*

JKim0901, if you are going to keep your VLSD pumpkin, and sell only the internals that the clutch-type LSD kit you get comes with, I have a proposition for you.

I did the VLSD on my 240, and still have my old open diff in my backyard (covered up with lots of plastic).
If you don't have an open diff to pop that new LSD kit into, you can buy mine if you would like. And that way you can give whoever buys your VLSD the whole pumpkin and all.
Or I can just sell this Open Diff to whoever buys the VLSD kit.

If you are already giving the whole pumpkin and all, then please disregard this post lol. Yeah, I really think it includes the whole pumpkin, so maybe I shouldn't have made this offer. bwahahh.

can u install it for me if i buy it?

I've done the job on my S13 (with an S14 VLSD with 90K miles). It should be slightly easier for this VLSD since you won't need any custom mounting bolts + washers, and won't have to switch rear covers.

I can install it for you (for a small service fee. Discuss with me on AIM if you wish) if you are going to buy it.

For proof that I've done one, here is a picture I took during my VLSD changeover.

This offer goes to anybody who buys it.

If the seller of this VLSD is willing to install for the buyer... umm.. please disregard this post as well. :ugh:

Now, I wouldn't say it's a good deal.
Got my S14 VLSD for $250 picked up. 90K miles as well (runs like pie :))

But, I won't argue with the one cool dood part =P
And I wouldn't really complain if I had to look for a VLSD again, because this is a one time chance for socal folks.

Where else are you going to be able to find a VLSD locally? Nowhere, because they either sell extremely fast as hell like this one will, or they're too far and need to be shipped (for hundreds in shipping charges). You have to be pretty lucky if you can get your hands on one locally.

Well, I'm out. Good luck with the sale guy.

:axe:

i have an open diff to install the new 2-way but thanks for the offer.

if the buyer really needs help installing it, i dont mind helping or you can talk to hamsterball, he doesnt sound like he minds charging or helping.

its comes with the whole pumpkin, you drop your old one out and bolt in this one its not just the internals and crap its the whole thing.

someone in socal is gonna want it, these things are always moving, if 350 is too much just make an offer, ive been getting offers like 150-200 so if you are one of those then please dont email me thanks
