actually
what u would like to check is...
are you running same tire size..
is tread on both tires even
are you running the same tire
do you have the same tire pressure in both...
beleive it or not.. all this matter w/ a lsd.

I wonder if the shims would effect the way an lsd works. Since most people ignore it and re-use the factory ones.

if it locks up it locks up. check everything josh said.
I have the same problem. Mine pulls to the right as soon as i hit the gas and it's worse on the freeway . What happened was i put my car up on the lift with the worst feeling in my gut that i had to rebuild my lsd. I realized that my rear sway bar was preloaded to the right. Literally..like 5 minutes ago, i adjusted the sway bar even on both sides and i just got the car back down. I havent had a chance to test drive it yet, but i'll post back as soon as i get home.
I hope this is the problem cause you have to drop your sway bar when you replace the pumpkin..so it's very possible that you and I didnt put them back on correctly.
I just got home from my test drive and the problem is gone.

does anyone have a link to the tomei lsd? i'm in the market for an lsd and was looking at the kaaz but it is a bit pricey. also they recommend that you only use their fluid with looks to be just plan 80w90(gl4) which is $44 something. thanks in advance.

what? you dont have to remove the sway bar to install the whole diff carrier, the rear sway bar actually helps you put it in.

Nope. You actually don't have to remove the sway bar to drop the differential.
But, if you do, it gives you alot more room to lift the differential back up and align it with the axles and move it into place.
Just make sure you don't lose any bushings like me .. ;*(
(I lost my right rear sway bar bushing, one of them. a god damn small tiny circle! where is it!!!)
