i just found a big ass leak in my heater box somewhere (dunno where). It's been causing coolant loss to my cabin and I just realized it after my car almost overheated.
My Q is can I connect the 2 heater outlets coming out of the engine (under the intake manifold) instead of running it to the firewall into the cabin? This is just a temporary solution until i figure out what's wrong. I think this makes sense but I just wanna make sure. Thanks

Yep...you can do it. You won't have any heat inside the passenger cabin if you do, but you can do it. A fellow Zilvia listmember is running his heater hose that way till he can fix his heater core problem. He's the third 240sx owner I've heard of that's had heater core problems...two on S14's (one N/A & the other turbo) and your's on a S13....Hmmmm....strange coincidence....???...

strange.. cause my heater was working fine before i did my sr swap. it started leaking after the swap. i don't get how though, nothing inside was touched.
i finally realized it after i lifted my carpet and it was soaken wet with coolant.
