So I hear Mazdadrivers is running a VIR Grand event. If you don't know, this is the longest, and probably the most fun/challenging road course in the country!

4.2 MILES. 8-D...

who's commin' with me?

I wonder how many hours it can take to get there from Montreal... I'd have to find a hotel... but it might be interesting. :)

I know Bakari, and Joe McGoarty(sp?) (green s14, NASA instructor/racer) have run with them, and really had a good time. Said it was a very well run event.

I'll just be running the azenis I'm sure. still lots of tread on them.

Joe's actually the one that brought the event to my attention. Pretty sure he'll be there as well.

yea, i ran with mazdadrivers as well and it was a well run event. everything was pretty smooth. i'm definitely gonna try to make it out for this one. unless i can get another set of "track tires", i'll be testing out the fuzion zri's on track. they've done me pretty well at the autox so far.

halo - drive down from montreal would take at least 15 hrs

ohhhhh! That combines my favorite part of South Course (Downhill Spiral) and Full Course (uphill esses), but it does get rid of the roller coaster. :(.

Oh well, I might try to go to this one too.

is that in Virginia? my family will probably be moving there during the spring, and even though i'm sure my car is not nearly up to par with the rest of yours, that sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. how much does it cost?

It'll probably be around $300 for both days with probably 3+ hrs of actual seat time.

a steal compared to auto-x seat time.

Isn't roller coaster the south part of north course? which is included in this track..

Yeah, but I doubt you'll be able to approach it at the same speed and line that you would coming off of the back straight. I could be wrong.
