does anyone here know how to remove the tie rod from a 96 nissan 240sx. Is it a threaded part or is it stamped on the rack and pion(sp?)

take castle nut, turn upside down and half-thread it onto the tie rod shank. thread it enough so its not just on by a couple threads, but dont let the tie rod shank threads get exposed so they won't get fucked up. then hit away :) if its an old tie rod, go midevil on that bitch without hte castle nut trick.

theres a thread in the FAQ section that dousan made about installing tie rods and stuff. it even has pictures. should be what you're looking for.

Inner tie rod: Big ass wrench and the strong hand, add heat if neccessary.
Out tie rod: Hammer, or a pickle fork if it's in there real good.
Separating the two: Wrenches.
