Hello guys/gals,
I have a few items to let go of, as I am in the process of a move and I'm running out of storage space. All items were purchased used, but never used by me. I have larger pictures if you would like to see them. Located in Rowland Heights, CA 91748. Pick up preferred, no shipping, but delieveries within 100 miles can be arranged at extra cost (pay me gas and a 6 pack of glass bottled coca cola?). I'm also getting rid of some wheels in the wheels section, and I'll cut you a deal if you pick up multiple items. Please refrain from lowballing and/or flaking, serious inquiries only.
Rare S13 Silvia OE-style FRP hood, made in Japan, but brand is unknown. Includes attached hood pins and hood hinges. Paint has scratches and scuffs, re-paint is required. In perfect shape, no cracks or chips. VERY lightweight, lighter than my *cough* EG civic CF hood. Asking only $300 obo. ****Now only $275****

How much do you think shipping would be for each item to 78228 if possible?

Not possible... at the moment, unless you got yourself some deep pockets. I'm very busy, but if you're really really interested (which I'm guessing you won't be), shipping to TX will be $300 for the hood, and $200 for the side skirts (cost of shipping plus taking a day off work ;) ). As you can see, local buyers are highly preferred. If these things don't sell in a while I will reconsider and let you know. Thanks for your inquiry.

just a heads up, you can pay UPS to come pick stuff up from your house or wherever, you dont have to take a day off of work and make the buyer pay your salary as well.

I dont have a problem paying a lil extra on top of the shipping price, b/c the seller does do some work to get the item ready to ship.

he works a lot
no time for packing and prepping stuff
ive seen the stuff in person good stuff nice shape and he is a friend and trustworthy
i hate shippng stuff. to pack it REALLY well to avoid damage in shipment (because shipping companies suck) requires some good time put into it.

Just wondering, what is your definition of working alot?
I only ask because I hear (or have heard) you and many other cali friends/acquantances use that descriptor when defending others' actions regarding shipping. :wiggle:
I would give a rundown of what I think "working alot" is, but it would be irrelevant.

Sucks you dont want to ship, I would buy that hood in a heartbeat

dont get all butt hurt
shipping stuff sucks
working a lot: no time to go post office/ups
pick up? not at my work..my job wont allow such.
no one is home in day time
weekend im not even at my own home
so when to ship? let alone get the PROPER packing materials to pack up a FIBERGLASS hood to prevent it from being damaged by jackass postal/ups/fedex employees, if you have seen what they have done, its not pretty.
deal with it.

Posting this kind of response shows me that you were, as I was only asking a question. Calm down and don't get defensive unless I hit a nerve.

Yawn...I was looking for a real answer, not an excuse. Price is not a concern here for many...that is regarding this thread at least.

These are just more excuses, and I am going to assume that THIS time you are speaking for yourself. There are many shipping options...I have used DHL with no problems for body parts and it was relatively inexpensive. Experiences may vary, but nonetheless...money is there to be made. And yes, good for me, but with good listening and following of advice, it would be good for others as well. :)
deal with it.
With what, defensive misunderstandings of a situation?
Oh well, maybe I will. :mepoke:

Hello guys,
Not to get defensive, but I work full time and no one is avaliable at home for UPS to come pick up stuff. I also happen to live in a relatively "ghetto" neighborhood, and would prefer not to leave stuff outside. Shipping is, afterall, physically possible, I was just implying that I'm looking for local buyers first. Thanks for backing me up dousan.
With that said, shipping may be avaliable if items are not picked up within the next two weeks.
Thanks,
-danny

it really is a pain in the ass to ship larger items, pack them properly and take the time to take it to the local depot.
but dont get all pissy, saying he not being reasonable. He merely stated that he wanted to sell locally first. and he'd ship if it was worth his time.
I know, b/c he is shipping me the sideskirts. i just sent payment today. I understand he works a lot. I do too. 60-70 hrs a week. if shipping were easier, id have some extra cash laying around. i have some many parts in my garage that i can sell, but i hate shipping, so i dont.

I have those side skirts on my 240, they are made by Kaminari. They are the cleanest looking sideskirts youll find for a 240. bump for the best sideskirts ever.
Man, how sad is this; we're selling off all our stuff! :(
For any possible buyers: hood is in great condition - I've seen it myself! Well worth a measly $275.
