I know that i will be cutting the rear fender but should i have the body shop mold the panels with bondo or rivet them on?
Molding them may look better but riveting them on is better when you get some battle wounds in that area so that you can just replace it.
Thanks for everyone's ideas.

it does? even after it dries up and painted over?
yeah it will give it time, thats why if u can, try to stretch the medal out as best u can and reshape it, the littler the bondo the better. good luck.

Rivet them On that is what I am going to do to mine I will then have it grinded and blended in with lead filler painted and you will never see any lines

i hope he ment metalized(sp) plastic filler, stuffs expensive and hard as hell to sand but will last longer then your average plastic filler.

people also need to realize that there is a BIG difference between shitty and good body filler. In 2 separate categories really...

exactly..... body filler is used for minor scratches and not meant for holding panels on. Thats what Panel Bond, marglass, cathair, and other brand glues are for. Bondo is only supposed to be used in very thin layers for filling scratches and minor imperfections.
There is alot of different classes of body filler as well. BONDO is only a brand name...Body filler is the product!
