After waiting patiently (or trying to anyway) for the stupid warranty company to pay for my repairs, I finally got my car back today.  She purrs like a kitten!!!!  No more ticking under the hood, no more oil leak, and a brand new clutch!!  She felt like a new car.  I'm so happy I have my baby back!!

It was also my lucky, lucky day (or weekend).  There were 5 RED cars in the back lot at the dealership this weekend.  4 of them got broken into (windows bashed, dashes torn apart, door scratched to hell trying to break in), and MY car was the ONLY red car not broken into.  I don't know why either.  The cars broken into were an older Miata, an old, old 300ZX (it was in bad shape before the break-in), a 200SX, and a Mazda Protege.  And mine wasn't even touched!!  Definitely a blessing in disguise.

I have a box of parts they replaced on my car--my chain guides are supposed to be in there.  If they are, I will take pictures and post them so you all can see what can happen to the guides if they start to disintegrate and chip away like mine did.

whoa. that's strange. the best car and they didn't want to mess with it. they didn't have the heart to deface a 240sx &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

That's great, hope you enjoy the car!!! I'm awaiting a new clutch in the next few months, hopefully it helps my driving.

Well the dealer might of left your car open so they didnt have to brake in. Didnt find anything in there and went for the next car. LOL

wow truly fortunate... btw, how much did they charge you for the timing chain and labor all together?

The entire bill for the timing chain job, water pump, rear main seal, and clutch was $2300--but it only cost me $220 for the clutch parts, the belts, and my $100 deductible. &nbsp;I'll have to see if I can itemize it and see how much just the timing chain job cost. &nbsp; The estimate was somewhere around $1100-$1500.
